Biography
The youngest son of Ibn Idrīs. After his father’s departure for the Yemen, he remained in Mecca under the guardianship of Muḥammad b. ʿAlī al-Sanūsī (q.v.). He accompanied the latter to Cyrenaica in 1269/1852-53, staying with him until his death at Jaghbūb in 1276/1859.
