al-Dandarāwī, b. 1255/1839-40, d. 1328/1910-11.
Born in the Upper Egyptian town of Dandara, he had already been initiated into the Rashīdiyya Aḥmadiyya before he met Ibrāhīm al-Rashīd in Mecca. Details of his life are obscure, although he visited the Sudan in the early 1880s and was later in Somalia.
