Kitāb al-muʿjib fī talkhīṣ akhbār al-Maghrib, ʿAbd al-Wāḥid al-Marrākushī’s best-known work, is a personal account of Almohad rule from its foundation to the 13th century. A number of small details point to Egypt as the place of writing, and ʿAbd al-Wāḥid himself says that he completed it on 15 July 1224.
