Description

The Radd is an abridged version of the Takhjīl written by al-Jaʿfarī himself towards the end of his life (ed. Ḥasanayn, p. 10). Al-Jaʿfarī explains that he wrote this work in response to the Franks (al-Faranj), who raised various questions that were ‘void of wisdom’ and sent these to the Muslims in order to test them (ed. Ḥasanayn, p. 56).
