Nothing is known about the author of a brief extract in ch. 18 of al-Muʾtaman ibn al-ʿAssāl’s famous theological compendium Majmūʿ uṣūl al-dīn apart from what can be gathered from the extract itself and al-Muʾtaman’s introduction to it.
