The Hypostasis of the Archons (HypArch) 1 is an anonymous treatise setting forth a Gnostic interpretation of Genesis 1-6, partly in the form of a revelation discourse between an angel and an interlocutor. It exemplifies a wide-ranging Hellenistic syncretism whose most evident components are Jewish. But in its final form HypArch shows clear Christian features and can be considered a Christian work.
