[1421c] Sardar Muhammad Yunus Khan, a (former) exile who had now been ordered to go to Kabul, set off at two o’clock in the morning. At nine a.m. on Sunday, the twenty-first of Jumadi al-Ula/22 February, numbers of people reciting the Fatihah headed for the Siraj al-ʿImarat Palace and began gathering all around it, awaiting the appearance of Amir Nasr Allah Khan. After a long delay, he emerged from a private meeting with ʿAbd al-Ahad Khan, Mirza Muhammad ʿUmar Khan…
