[1253c] During this time, on Thursday, the tenth of Zihijjah/23 December 1909, the rituals of the joyous Day of the Sacrifice, such as the (holiday) prayer, the customary rites, the sacrificial slaughtering, etc. took place.

On Monday, the twenty-eighth of this month/10 January 1910, because of a letter mentioned earlier dated the fourteenth of Ziqaʿdah/27 November 1909, which the high governor Turkistan had written to the Court concerning the return of the sons of ʿAbd al-Qadir Khan, “Sar ʿAskar,” from Transoxania to Mazar-i Sharif, (His Majesty) wrote him:
