(Jan 15, 1863, Cologne – Aug 5, 1946, Bonn). Marx, the son of a Catholic primary school teacher, followed a legal career, finally presiding over the Limburg regional court. In 1899 he was elected to the Prussian Landtag, and in 1910 to the imperial Reichstag, as a member of the Center Party (Parties).
