Biography Although there is as yet no study of the life of Baltazar de Morales, it is possible to deduce some facts about him from his Diálogo de las guerras de Orán, because the character of Navarrete in this work is really a representation of Baltazar himself. At the beginning of the Diálogo, he says he is from La Rambla near Cordova, and that he was a captain in all the wars that were waged when the counts of Alcaudete were governors of Oran.
